The Pillar® Procedure
An effective, first-line treatment for
sleep apnea and snoring

The new Pillar® Procedure is a simple, minimally invasive alternative that contributes to effective treatment of mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnae (OSA).

The procedure takes place in a single short clinic visit with most patients resumng normal diet and activities the same day. Most patients experience far less pain and less recovery time than with other procedures with lower complications.

An important aspect with the use of the Pillar system is that it does not remove the option of undertaking other procedures and does not change the anatomy of the soft palate.

The mobile light source for rigid & flexible scopes with LED technology

The LS21 LED light source allows direct connection to rigid endoscopes and naso-pharyngoscopes in a light-weight, compact and mobile system. It can be simply connected to optics requiring no additional light guide cables. Utilising the same battery
technology as the HL21 (Lithium-Ionic) it is quick to recharge, has no 'memory effect' and a long operation time.

As with the HL21 LED Cordless LED Headlight, the LED offers excellent illumination and has a life span up to 10,000 hours resulting in low operating costs.

MediaStroboscope XP - The lastest in Stroboscopy with Flash-Light technology
	The video sequences of the stroboscopic examination are digitised in real-time. The basic voice frequency, the sound pressure level, the musical tone pitch and loudness classes are shown as the present and the average value. Together with the video data these are stored on the hard disk of a computer. The stroboscopic video clips are linked to a data base and other data for each patient; the sessions and the results and can be called up quickly and easily without any loss in quality. The presentation of a key picture with each set of data facilitates locating particular records as well as verbal description of the respective results. Data sets can be copied as often as wanted, they can be archived on external storage media, transferred to other computers or transmitted via Internet.
